Strawberry Jam

This new record is unreal, really. On the A.C. forum most people think "Fireworks" is the best song, by a big margin, but "Cuckoo Cuckoo" just makes me bang my head on the table. And after that, it's "Derek" and "Unsolved Mysteries." This may be the last record I listen to in 2007. Please excuse the hyperbole.

yeah this album is amazing. and i agree with you on the part about cuckoo cuckoo being better than fireworks. my personal favorites are chores, cuckoo cuckoo and derek. winter wonderland is pretty nuts too.

Yes. Oh, and "#1" is good, too. Still not sure if I like it more than Feels. All their records are so different, it's tough to compare, though.

I sort of started liking AC a while after Feels. I think I'm clinging to this album because I saw its release (in a sense) and i feel attached I guess. #1 is good. I think the album is about childhood. there seems to be a lot of talk about mom and dad and children.

Man, I can't even get close to the lyrics yet. I have to digest the noise first.

It's taken me awhile to warm up to Animal Collective, probably b/c they were first passed on to me by my name-dropping little brother who also insisted he liked reggaetone at the time. I like these new songs though. I got excited when I heard that the peacebone was found in a dinosaur wing. If you decide to listen to another album in 2007, Spoon's "Ga Ga Ga" is a great one.

Your brother has some diverse taste there. I don't blame you for hesitating.

I am just hoping someone can figure out what the peace-bone connects to.

I also may not pick up another album this year. I am enjoying Strawberry Jam way too much and it hasnt even been released yet. But I actually think the b-side should be in Cuckoo Cuckoo's place. And Derek is my current favorite track. Panda Bear will never let me down ;D

Take out Cuckoo? Impossible! I wish they'd just make the album longer and put a few of those tracks on that we know are out there.
