New low

For the first time in my life, I just voluntarily turned off an IU game before it was over. This has to be the lowest point in my history of loving IU basketball. And that goes back kind of far since one of my earliest memories is the party my parents threw when we won it all in 1976. But this year, geez, it is worse than a Mike Davis team because our offense is just as painful to watch but our defense is worse and we have more talent. Seriously, this has to be the most athletic and talented team since, heck, Cheaney's days, but Sampson doesn't appear to have the first clue about what they should do to score in the half court. It's humiliating. Well, as an IU fan it is humiliating. There are worse things in life than having your team suck. I'm just sayin'. I'm going sleepies now.

Oh so true.
If the Giants don't go to work on the Patriots on Sunday, I might give up faith in the sports world.

At least until baseball season.

At least you'll have plenty of time to sleep this one off--expect 8" tonight, you doubter.

Okay, I was off on that prediction. Now I'm going to predict that IU will be a five seed or worse.

I keep waiting for some halftime adjustments, an offense that doesn't include either chucking up a three or going one on one with someone, for Deandre Thomas to do something other than shoot when he gets the ball in the post...you're right its frustrating and there's no way this team goes deep in the tournament.

I know, I mean I'm far from an X's and O's guy, whatever that means, but it sure seems like Bo Ryan and the Xavier coach and the like have these things that look like "plays" or some kind of planned "motion" that the players run through. Our guys run low for a screen and catch the ball hoping for a wide open three and then turn it over.

I have low blood pressure normally, but this season is becoming a health issue, I think.

At this point in the season, I figured we would have four losses (the three plus Minnesota) so this group of talented but young Hoosiers are doing better than I thought they would. True, they seem to have lost their rhythm lately but at least they are able to make halftime adjustments (somethin Davis never did). Besides, if we still had Davis, we wouldn't have Gordon. I'm ok with that.

I also have turned off the last two games midway through the second half.

Just reminding you, since I couldn't Friday, that today is Superbowl Sunday and as an American citizen, it is your duty to watch every minute of it.

Do it, and go giants.

Okay, in respect for my American heritage, I checked the score of the game at least twice on the internet. And not only that, but during the final drive, I watched the first three plays and then said to myself "well, if Manning pulls it off, I'll just watch it on Youtube," and then went to read the paper. You have to make some compromises in life to fit it all in.
