So I just read somewhere that chalkboard paint is "out," but we went ahead and put it up anyway and we're glad of it, fashion be darned. Today is a snow day and so I decided to add the elephant from the cover of my copy of A Passage to India. I made sure to draw him high on the wall so the kids' puerile scratchings don't mar him immediately.I mean look at the spelling here, really. Four bars on a capital "E"? I hope she writes them that way for the rest of her life.

I wish all of the walls in my house were like that. A spare can of spray fixative would save anything from the eraser.

Woah, you painted the entire kitchen that way? That's sweet. I didn't know you could draw. I'm impressed.

Well, we (Cath) just painted that one corner where you come in from the breakfast room thing. Would have been crazy black to do the whole thing.

And I can't draw, really. I can copy, kind of. Going to the e4 show last Friday must have inspired me.

I say go for it, Seabs and paint them all. You can probably get credit for it for one of your classes.

Who says chalkboard paint is out? The same person who says saggy pants are in?

Pish tosh i say! Better to let the creative juices flow, especially for your kids (who are adorable btw).

Hey, congratulations for getting on the scoreboard. Well played.

I have been shut out for a few days now, but have a good feeling about today.
