I'm so excited for this movie. Filmed in Warsaw! Mrs. K just pointed me to the trailer, which I'd been waiting to see for awhile, and it looks so good.
I am willing to bet large sums of money that they followed at least five jocks, geeks, etc. to make sure they could get an inspirational story for each category.
Yeah, that's a tricky matter. Imagine the incentive there must have been for the students there to seek (or avoid) drama in their lives in the hopes of making (or avoiding) the final cut of the film.
Not sure how you could get an accurate portrayal without those considerations tainting things.
It appeared slightly scripted to me, as though things were.. dramatised. But (being reflective) it seems my own high school experiences would be perceived as such, as I'm sure most of ours all could.
I was browsing the imdb.com boards, and some kids who (claim to) have gone to that school say a lot was staged (for what it's worth). Oh well. Still looks interesting.

I think it would be more interesting if it was about me.
lol.
boy, teens today . .
Well, I sure hope it's good. I've yet to see a movie that really captures the whole teenager thing.
Also: At 1125 tonight you can catch Animal Collective's life Coachella performance. If you're interested and didn't already know.
Just google AT&T Blue Room.
Woah, didn't know that. Thanks for the headzup.

I'm excited to see the film!
I just scored tickets to an advance screening in Chicago this Wednesday. Nanette Burstein is actually going to be there, I'm pretty excited about it.
I also just saw SON OF RANBOW--and it was amazing, I highly recommend it...
LOVE, DAVID
